Dr. Phil Pilgrim, Transitional Pastor

On Sunday, November 29, 2020 the members of FBC Washington, GA called Dr. Phil Pilgrim as their Transitional Pastor.
Dr. Pilgrim served as a Regional State Missionary for the West Central Georgia Area of the Georgia Baptist Convention for over 9 years, also in10 Interim Pastorates as a Georgia Baptist Missionary and two more before becoming the Pastor of Unity Baptist Church in Newnan, GA. He served as Sr. Pastor of four other churches, 2 of which he served simultaneously.
He holds an Associate of Arts in History from Brewton-Parker Junior College, in Mt. Vernon, Georgia. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Christianity and Speech/Drama from Mercer University, in Macon, Georgia. He earned a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
He is a strong Bible preacher, and he and Sandi, his wife, both adhere to the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention. They support the work of the local association, the Georgia Baptist Mission Board (GBC), and the Southern Baptist Convention.
He and Sandi, have two adult children. Their son, Joshua, of Greenwood, SC, is married to Chelsea Fleming, and they have a 15-month-old daughter, Charlotte. Their daughter, April, is married to Brandon Duke, and they are the parents of Eden (9), Abram (7) who was adopted from China, and A.J. (6).
Traci

Traci Steward, Lead Ministry Assistant

Traci began serving as our Lead Ministry Assistant in 2014. Her role includes managing the church office and the church’s finances. Traci and her husband, Joe, have two children and they are very active members at Beulah Baptist Church near their home. 
 
 
 
 

TammyTammy Echols, Ministry Assistant

Tammy serves three days each week as Ministry Assistant and has been on staff at FBC since 1997. She and her husband, Ben, have two children.
