Celebrating 1000 Days of Prayer…

Sunday, July 14, 2019 marked a significant milestone in the life of First Baptist Church as we celebrated 1000 days of consecutive prayer. In the fall of 2016 we began opening our sanctuary each morning at 7 a.m. as people gathered to call out to God for revival and spiritual awakening in our community. Little did we know that God would continue to sustain this prayer movement for 1000 days.
A major focus of this intercession has centered around our “God Can” requests. These cards placed on the altar contain urgent needs that seem impossible, but through persistent prayer we believe “God Can!”
The week of July 14th we also entered into a season of 100 hours of continual prayer asking the Lord…”Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
The FBC sanctuary continues to be open every morning from 7:00-8:00 a.m. or you can drop by and pray any time the church office is open.
“One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.”
Psalm 27:4
